The Remarkable Spring of 2019

March-April in Tucson, Arizona

After a remarkable winter so wet that Sabino Creek never stopped flowing, we experienced an epic spring wildflower season.

One glorious Saturday, I did a solo hike on Phoneline Trail. At 8.3 miles with 1400 feet of elevation gain, it was my longest hike since before I broke my hip.
The display of wildflowers was simply amazing!
Mexican poppies and brittlebush and tackstem and fairy duster and blue phacelia oh my!
Hope Camp is one of our favorite local mountain bike routes.
