The Changing of the Yard

This is how our new backyard looked the day of the inspection (March, 2008).

We turned off the water, but when the monsoon came, so did the bermuda grass.

On the hottest days of the summer, we tore up the backyard and yanked out the grass by its roots.

Rock Day, September 13, 2008. 4½ tons of Tuscany Gold in the driveway.

We relocated it one shovelfull at a time, sculpting pathways and several low mounds as well as the site of a future pond.

Caliche seems quite pleased with the big new sandbox.
